Members of the Mahopac Teachers’ Association attended the NYSUT Leadership Conference in Ossining, New York, on August 10 and 11, joining union leaders and members from across the region for two days of learning, collaboration, and professional growth. Throughout the conference, MTA members participated in workshops focused on union leadership, member engagement, advocacy, communication, and strengthening local associations.
The sessions provided valuable ideas and resources that our members can bring back to Mahopac to help strengthen the MTA and better support our membership.The conference also provided an opportunity to connect with other union leaders, share experiences, and learn new approaches to building an informed, engaged, and active membership. The MTA is proud of our members who dedicated part of their summer to developing their leadership skills and strengthening our Association.
